Same case, different system

SR cells use silver oxide and are commonly rated at 1.55 V. LR cells use alkaline manganese dioxide and are commonly rated at 1.5 V.

Why devices can notice

Silver oxide typically holds a flatter discharge voltage. An alkaline lookalike may fit but can shorten service life or affect devices that depend on stable voltage.

Replacement rule

Use the chemistry and code specified by the device maker. Treat a same-size chemistry change as conditional, not as an exact match.
