Why same size is not equivalent

Compatibility requires form, fit and electrical function—not merely a battery that enters the compartment.

Physical fit

Diameter, height, pack shape and terminal placement decide whether the battery physically seats and makes contact.

Electrical match

Nominal voltage, full-charge voltage, polarity and chemistry decide whether the device receives the intended electrical system.

Application fit

Drain profile, pulse behavior, temperature range and manufacturer approval decide whether a physically and electrically close cell belongs in the application.

Decision boundary

This guide narrows a battery decision but does not override the device manufacturer’s current manual or safety instructions.
