The four common sizes

Size 10 uses yellow, 13 orange, 312 brown and 675 blue in widely used hearing-aid packaging conventions.

Air activation

Zinc-air cells begin working after the sealing tab is removed and air reaches the cell. Remove the tab only when the battery is ready for use.

Do not match by case alone

Some alkaline or silver-oxide cells share dimensions with hearing-aid sizes. They are not automatic replacements for the zinc-air system.

Decision boundary

This guide narrows a battery decision but does not override the device manufacturer’s current manual or safety instructions.
